Our 54th season began with the world’s longest running musical, “The Fantasticks”. We made many new friends this year, in both our casts and our crews. Tri-Town Theatre welcomed for the first time on our stage Director Nancy Bondurant-Couch, Music Director David Burch, and Sound Technician David Geasey. Nancy’s vision created a unique experience for our audience. Together, Bondurant-Couch, Burch, and Geasey produced an outstanding show, with many saying it was the best production they have seen on our stage. A unique aspect of this show was Louisa’s dark dream sequence which included a video that showcased our founding director Jack Deuel in his final performance on TTT’s stage.
TTT Board President, Teresa Sears, brought her 5th (and final) children’s production ,“The Wind in the Willows” to our stage in March. This show once again highlighted the talented youth in our community, with both new and returning talent. An exceptional performance was given by all, and we hope to see many return next season. A bittersweet goodbye to our seniors, as this was their last time on stage in our children’s show. We wish Remi and Austin well in their future endeavors.
We concluded our season with the laugh-out-loud comedy “Four Weddings and an Elvis”, under the leadership of Director Pam Wheaton and Consulting Director Steve Quimby. Who would have thought getting married in Vegas could cause so many problems! We had an incredibly talented cast that made Sandy’s 5th wedding a success…finally.
On behalf of Tri-Town Theatre we would like to thank our audiences, casts, and crews for making our 54th season a brilliant success. We would also like to give special thanks to the following: Sidney High School, Roxbury Arts Group, ACCO, the United Way of Sidney, and our Patrons for making our productions possible year after year.
We look forward to see you all in our 55th season, kicking off with “All Shook Up” in October 2018. Stay tuned for updates!
